Hiba Bukhari

Hiba Bukhari, a popular Pakistani actress, rose to fame with her role in “Thori Si Wafa” on Hum TV back in 2017. Her performance even earned her an award! Since then, she’s been gracing our screens with leading roles in shows like “Deewangi” and continues to be a prominent figure in the Pakistani entertainment industry.

Early life

Hiba was born in Karachi to a Sindhi family on 29 June 1993. She obtained her F.Sc from Jinnah Government College in Nazimabad.

Career

  • Hiba Bukhari started acting in 2015 with a short part in a show called “Teri Meri Jodi.” In 2016, she played a sneaky neighbor in another popular show, “Choti Si Zindagi,” alongside big stars like Iqra Aziz and Shehzad Sheikh.
  • 2017 was a big year for Hiba! She landed her first starring role as Bano in the popular show “Bholi Bano,” and later that year played a strong female lead in the soap opera “Thori Si Wafa.” This role impressed everyone, even winning her an award for Best Actress.
  • In 2018, Hiba played a fun and cheeky college student in “Silsilay” alongside Junaid Khan. This role helped people get to know her better. Later that year, she starred in the romance “Haara Dil” opposite Danish Taimoor on A-Plus TV.
  • In 2019, Hiba played a friendly and relatable character in “Ramz-e-Ishq” on Geo TV. But her big break came later that year with “Deewangi,” where she played a confident and determined bus conductor. This role was a hit and even earned her a nomination for Best Actress! It was also her second time acting with Danish Taimoor.
  • In 2019, Hiba Bukhari played a sweet and familiar character in “Ramz-e-Ishq.” Later that year, she landed her most famous role yet as a brave and independent bus driver in “Deewangi.” This show was her second time working with actor Danish Taimoor, and it even got her nominated for a prestigious award called the Lux Style Award for Best Actress.

  • In 2020, Hiba joined the cast of “Tarap” on Hum TV alongside actors she’d worked with before. In this show, she played a character who found herself in difficult situations and needed help. This was her only TV appearance that year.
  • In 2021, Hiba starred in “Fitoor” as a married woman with a complex past, alongside actors Faysal Quraishi and Wahaj Ali. While that role was big, the following year she took on two smaller parts in different shows: “Inteha e Ishq” and “Berukhi.
  • In 2022, Hiba played a strong-willed medical student from the Pashtun community in “Meray Humnasheen” on Geo TV. Later that year, she impressed critics with her role as a mom fighting for divorce in “Pehchaan” on Hum TV. To top it off, she even starred alongside her real-life partner, Arez Ahmed, in “Ishq Nahin Aasan” on Aan TV.
  • 2023 kicked off with Hiba playing a spoiled rich girl in “Tere Ishq Ke Naam” alongside big names like Zaviyar Nauman Ijaz and Usama Khan. Later that year, she transformed into a tough school teacher in “Jhok Sarkar,” written by the famous Hashim Nadeem, and starred opposite Farhan Saeed.
